Default Thompson Center Compass 300 Win Magnum

Several months ago I purchased a T/C compass in 300 Win Magnum.
    Topped in off with a Vortex 2.5X - 10X 50MM scope.
Replaced the factory trigger with an MCarbo trigger spring kit and added a Boyds stock.

I tried Hornady Precision Hunter 200 grain ELD-X rounds and could only get inconsistent groups about 2"-3" spread.

Next I tried Winchester Power Point 180 grain. Sold on the Winchester.
If I get a moose draw this will be my go to firearm.

How "drop in" was the Boyd's stock?
I've already told you more than I know.

Great looking stock. Custom sling? That should work nicely on a moose.

    Roger-
Actually not a custom sling. My daughter bought it online to replace the custom sling that she appropriated earlier.
    Very well made and inexpensive.

You can order with a heavier pad but I have never worried about recoil.
Shooting at game I never feel recoil anyway.
