Ground blind replacement parts?

I bought a ground blind (It is a Comfort Zone Illusion blind) a few years ago. It was definitely not the top of the line, but it has worked well for me except I have broken a few of the fiberglass poles trying to set it up when the poles were caught on the fabric.

I had some extra poles from when it was new, but I broke the last one today. I called the customer service phone number and surprise its disconnected!

I looked it up online and found one website that had replacement parts but everything is out of stock.

Does anyone have any companies or websites to check further? I know I could go spend $$$ on a Double Bull, but its money I dont have. The poles are only $5 if I can find more.
Any help appreciated!

Not knowing what they look like but my though would be can you buy plain fiberglass rods from a place like this:

I also have a comfort zone blind I bought several years back, no idea what model- left it out and we got a heavy wet snow that broke one of the poles. I glued that section, put a billion zip ties around it and wrapped it in electrical tape, but it was never quite right. This spring I bought two replacement tent pole kits at walmart (two so they'd match) and cut them to match the original overall pole lengths. they were like 4 or five bucks each, heavier than the original. they work great, the only downside is that the individual sections are longer than the original (the cut to fit sections on each end are shorter now) so they stick out of the pack/case a little when traveling. not really an issue for me-

I'm a pretty handy guy, but these fiberglass poles have knobs on one end that fit in and rotate in a hub - just like a ball & socket joint. The four poles spread out from the hub on each wall and that's how it sets up.

I had the blind for a year and while sitting in it, heard the cracking of the fiberglass, so I broke it down quick and called the company. Since it was new, they sent some complimentary poles. I strengthened the existing ones with electrical tape also to try and make them sturdier. I chalked it up to the fact that I wasn't "deploying" it correctly and probably stressed them.

Now that I am familiar with it, once on a while the poles get caught in the camo netting and stress.

I just had to order replacement poles for my double bull blind. The poles were free but it cost me $16 to have the 4 poles shipped. Will the double bull poles fit in other blinds? You can also get the replacement balls for the ends. If they can be cut down it may be worth a try.

One thing I was going to try if I couldn't get the replacement poles was to use a fiberglass fence post. I use em for electric fencing for the horses and cattle. They're 48" long and cost $1.09. I figure if I can cut them down to fit they may work.

Well, I figured if a fence post could work, why not someone elses brand? I tried Ameristep for parts - but their hub blinds have a "T" end and not a knob. Still trying...Thanks!

Could you post a couple pics of both, a good one and a bad one? Maybe show another with the hubs involved?

Could one made of aluminum be turned on a lathe?

By your description I`m getting a mental picture of something dog-boned in shape. Aye?

I too have a problem with a broken ball in the hub, only thing is it was that way when I bought it from Dick's sporting goods. They cleverly rewrapped the box so as not to be notice. Tried calling the number in instructions and it is no longer available, out of service. Found any replacements yet for these glass poles with a ball for the hub? Thanks Zeke.

I never did find poles.

I gave up and reluctantly bought a new blind. I really liked the "triangle" pup tent shape of the Illusion. I could fit it in under some branches to help conceal it and lean branches up against it with little effort. Its alot more work to conceal a "box shape" blind.

I took the hubs apart, took the remaining poles out and put them up for auction on eBay where they are currently. Hoping someone can use them.
