Default Need a new vest

So...my Beagle jacket has the orange cape sewn on and the jacket has tons of pockets, but when it's not too cold I like to use my Bean's wool jacket. The problem is, it doesn't have many pockets. I have to wear an orange vest with that coat, so maybe I can get what I want out of the vest?

I need something quiet with a bunch of pockets, especially a game pouch in the back to store my lunch in. I see Bean's, Cabela's and KTP all have vests that seem to fit the bill...just wondering if any of you have any first hand experience to share.

Do you have one that satisfies my needs? What brand/model is it? What are your likes and dislikes?

I personally would rather carry the extra gear weight around my waist than on my shoulders. I just wear a simple, thin vest with only hand pockets in the front, and use a fanny pack for all my stuff.... Much better, IMO....

I use a fanny pack for the majority of my stuff, but it's too small for my lunch (I get hungry out there!) or for water...

Cabelas Ultimate Pack vest for sure. Had one for about 10 years. Love it. Was given a Primos gun vest a couple of years ago. Didn't like it nearly as much and am back to the Cabelas vest. Take a look at them.

DMF, if you have success with one let me know. I used Cabelas bowhunter vest for years on and off.I'm pretty picky about material and noise and it just isn't quiet enough. Last year I bought a cheap Cabelas straight out polyester fleece vest (quieter than wool), and have sewed and glued pockets on it. So far so good.

I used a Cabela's Ultimate Pack Vest for a season...

It is well constructed, but I found it to be very heavy and that I brought stuff I really didn't need and didn't like the weight of it on my shoulders in the woods. I gave it to Luckybuck last year.....

If you get that hungry, Why not a light backpack? I have an older Fieldline fanny pack that holds everything and my lunch.
