I really like your K31, Jim. That was supposed to be my next purchase but I have come across a sporterized Oberndorf Mauser in 7x57. Nice looking rifle, original barrel, great rifling, shiny bore. It's already drilled and tapped so I won't feel bad a desecrating a collector.

I saw it on the counter at my friends shop (a guy had just brought it in) and he told me $150 OTD. His wife said she had someone else looking for one already. If he doesn't want it .....it's mine!

That would be a great find for a 7x57! I actually have 2 K31's. They are great shooters and real easy to reload for. I think they are more accurate than the M96 or M38 Swede's. Like the Swede's the fit and finish is outstanding.

Very cool stuff Jim. When did this passion for this gun style start? Thats quite a collection you have going.

A short version, Ex-wife, hiding $ before divorce. Second marriage has been much better. She does not want to know what I buy, as long as we can afford it. I've always been a History buff. WW1 and 2 were big parts of the 20th century. BTW Bad, That is only a small portion.
