They limit the amount of hunts you can do or are you refering to the 6 bear transport tags. My insurance is about 350.00 for both hunting and fishing. I do it because I am self employed and this is about the closest thing I get to a paid vacation. The fishing end is cool, I met some real nice people last year. I am not doing deerhunts though because I think there is a vast expectation when someone goes on deerhunts. Too much tv brainwashing and as you know hunting in the northeast is by no means a canned hunt.

I will tell you it is like a job. I only bowhunted a half dozen times before the moosehunt. I am normally out 5 to 6 nights a week. I have a very understanding other half. I just felt guilty everytime I went to hunt for myself, like I should have been scouting so I just couldnt get into it. Once the hunt was over I was able to put in a pile of time and get my fix. The licences are alot cheaper. My insurance is so cheap because I dont do anything with a motorized boat. My flyfishing is rivers and float tube trips on remote ponds.
