My Omega has a tight barrel as well. Love barnes spitfires, but they load super tight. I keep meanign to grab some crush ribs to try out with them, but haven't had a chance.

i use powder. BUT i still shoot a white mt. carbine. but when i take out the triumph its 2 pellets baby, but dont mix em. i think the powder will burn and shoot but is it accurate. and thats whats important to the animal. be as responsible as possible. the one thing we have is the luxury of buying the material needed for a clean quick kill. if shot placement is right

My Omega has a tight barrel. I started off shooting Shockwaves and hated the effort it took to get one down the barrel. Switched to Powerbelts and couldn't get a good group. I went to another gun shop and they carried the Shockwave Superglides and haven't looked back since. For me they shoot great groups, are are very easy/fast to load.

Default Bullets

Superglides are made to load easier that regular sabots. I personally use Harvester Crushed Rib Sabots and have no trouble loading at all. I also use Blackhorn 209 powder in my Omega with great results.

i woudl imagine the thickness and hardness of the sabot. All 50 cal ML inside diameters vary greatly. Have to gauge it to truly know what u got. Omega is tight I went to PB 295 Hollow Points. I would like to try some full sizes copper slugs but have yet had the time. I like the thumbhole as it is easier to mount when lots of clothes on or in a stand. I have wood laminate thumbhole and would love checkering on it.

Use Real Black Powder like Goex and you will like it a lot better that the fake stuff.

More reliable ignition and Black smells nicer.

Its cheaper also. About $14 per pound for the real stuff
