Found another blind this weekend, this time I was 25 yards when I saw it and it had been crushed with snow last year. This guy did try to get some orange out with some tape, but that was only in one direction, I assume to get to the blind and then find his way home. (I wonder why I have the oppinions I do?) I thought the blind was a rock as it sat in a hemlock area with a bunch of moss covered bolders around. That is pretty tough to pick up I dont care how safe a person is or thinks they are. If you walk through the woods and come across one of these it will not take long to convince you when you think about what could happen in that one in a million chance a deer is between you and a blind.

T - Treat every firearm as if it was loaded.
A - Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
B - Be certain of your target and what is beyond.
K - Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.

Period.

Ignorance is no excuse in the eyes of the law. If I get a ticket for my truck being lifted to much...I should be locked up for shooting someone...period.

NO GAME, NONE, I don't care if it's a once in a lifetime yukon moose tag...is worth the life of a blood brother.

Default Shooting

From what I just read this is an update.

The man that was shot was sitting on the edge of the woods using a turkey call. The shooter heard the call and approached the area. He saw a movement and assumed it was a turkey so he shot at it. Clearly a case of not indentifying your target. He is being charged with aggravated assault and will appear in court. He is subject to 15 years and/or a $10,000 fine.
