    Default Big Bear

Did my first trail camera check in about a month. Found this monster on one of them. Biggest bear I've ever had on one of my cameras.

Biggest bear I've ever taken was 180 live. I'd say this one is at least 300, and probably closer to 350. Absolutely huge. A sow came into the same spot later and looked rather diminutive in comparison. I hope he sticks around for a few months...

I'm glad that picture was taken near a treestand and not a ground blind. Now, will my daughter's .243 be able to cope with him, or should I make the shot with my .308?

I have never seen a bear this big in person. The biggest bear I've ever seen in person was a momma with cubs back in fall 2018. She was probably 200-250 lbs, and of course I could not shoot her. Biggest bear I've ever taken was only 180 - I think this guy would double that, at least by the fall.
