Well, that only proves that I have a lot more to learn about bears. I thought those were bear tracks in front of the camera.

Thanks. Do you think that bear will still be around in three months? There are at least two sows in the area, so I'm hoping he hangs out.

Good chance. Are you allowed to bait there?

Sure am. The white sign in the upper left is my "This is a bait site" sign required by law. Unfortunately, a sow came in a few days later and tore the sign down. Just as well, since I needed to change the names of the subpermittees on the sign.

I've been baiting this site since 2015. Bears come to it, but they're never there when I am. I don't know if this is just dumb luck or if I'm doing something wrong.

I've been baiting my other site since 2016. Took a bear in 2017 and 2018 from a ground blind there. We're allowed two bait sites, so these two places are where I'm doing it again.

Bear Bomb has been hard to find, at least at a reasonable price. Last week, I got lucky and scored some at Bass Pro Shops. They had six cans, and I took them all. Great for getting the bait started.

I ordered a couple which arrived yesterday. Pretty straight forward instructions. Looking forward to trying them out.
