Happy New Year Mow!!!!!!!!! Took my daughter and my niece and nephew out yesterday on a small pond. Thankfully no water on the ice, but the wind cranked up. We had the Eskimo pop up and it made it nice!

We have a few trips out so far this year. We fished a lake with some very big pike in it, but since its also pretty slow, we ended up with just a few perch. However, we did get to try out Dukes new tipups, including the pirate flags his older brother got him...

Then we headed to the NH side of the river to chase some trout while we waited for our own season to open. The boys ended up with a Brown, Brook and a Rainbow through the ice - the first time we've ever done that before.

The boys always like to see what the fish have been eating, and most days, its the standard stuff. Sometimes though, we find some interesting items in there.

Very nice! Good to see the "trilogy" of trout!

I caught a togue last Saturday that was stocked before 2008. It was 22 inches long and weighted a whopping 1 pound.
