And probably only cost .40 cents instead of $4!

According to a local box store the cost is $2.48 for a 10 pack. I may have time tomorrow evening to buy a pack and replace the oring in my 760.
Leave my rifle, my fishing pole, my traps, and leave me be.

To replace the O ring I just have to unscrew the fore end or do more?

I had a gunsmith do mine 4-5 years ago, only because I couldn’t loosen the tube. It’s sluggish again, like the o-ring is out of its groove, I may try it again using a punch in the holes. Never had the same issue in my 870, do they have the o-ring?

    There is no O-ring on a 870.

    How new is your pump?

My gunsmith had two brand new 7600's come in this summer for trigger work. One hadn't even been fired yet. He said both were not deburred at the factory. The o-rings were already trashed on both of them.

What do you expect from a $700 rifle?
I've already told you more than I know.

If you fall down alot the snow packing into the action will make it firm up not rattle. Just be warned you’ll only get one shot as it won’t be able to cycle another round.
