    Roger-
You’re absolutely correct. I made quick work of pulling the traps and beat feet back to the truck. This evening I removed my 9 beaver pelts from the stretching hoops. Now I need to decide If I should take the few pelts I have to the fur buyer or set some more traps.

Those are big decisions to be made.
Leave my rifle, my fishing pole, my traps, and leave me be.

Thanks! The weather is not cooperating very well this year.

Wit NY Hunter’s notification I looked up the weather and decided to hold off on putting out some traps. Instead I used today’s free time and warm temperatures to replace ball joints and a failed wheel bearing on my truck.

I drove to the south western edge of the white mountains this morning and set up shop around 7:30 AM. Two wind flags were the days observation.

Friday night and Saturday were even worse wind wise. I had friends whose tip ups were blown out of their holes across the ice.
