.280 Remington. The top 3 pics were 50-75 yards, the splash of blood on the log was a heart shot buck at 20 yards or less.

Similar to the damage from the original 140 gr. Nosler ballistic tips. I shot a couple deer with them then stopped using them. I believe Nosler toughened them up but I haven' tried them.

So, the deer that had the nasty exit hole on the backend was a bullet failure, I completely exploded like a grenade and I was finding flecks of lead throughout the tenderloins. The doe with the mangled shoulder wasn’t a failure at all, I found it inside the deer on the opposite side and it was a perfect mushroom. I have killed a few with 140 grain Fusion and the blood trails were microscopic. I killed one nice buck with 150 grain Nosler Partition and he crumpled in his tracks.
