    Default Just Bought a Crossbow

Got a decent deal at Cabelas. $200 with free shipping. I had a $100 gift card so the entire package cost met $100 out of pocket.

Do you still need a doctors note to get a crossbow license and never go back to a compound? I have no plans to hunt with a crossbow, just curious.

This question becomes complicated in NH.
No disabled permit required for crossbow archery hunting in Unit M of NH. All other zones require disabled permit to do so. Once disabled permitted a person is required to stick with their crossbow for archery season.

Then there is the permited use of a crossbow during other seasons with what was a $5 permit.

I like what Vermont has done with the 50yo or older you can hunt with a crossbow, younger then that you need the doctors note thing. I wish they'd take it a step further and allow kids 15yo and younger to also be able to use them with adult supervision.
