I use lead core (no riggers on my pontoon boat) and a full 6 colors in the water (approx 30’deep) trolling 2-2.5 MPH on the GPS and they were both caught on a single hook, olive colored streamer. One at 8 am and one at 9. Bows were hitting too but all were shorts on this particular day.

A couple of keeper bows from last week 21 and 22”

What are you using for a leader set up?
You running out by Rattle Snake?
I used to fish there as a kid with lead core line all the time.
    Used to kill them.
    Then "upgraded" to down riggers.
The only thing that upgraded was the price. Downgraded my catch.
I dumped the boat, I'm going with lead core next year on a rental boat.

Yes, so far the most fish have been caught right on the broads side of Welch.
You see a good amount of boats start their day there then expand toward Rattlesnake as it gets later.
Just 60’ or so of fluorocarbon 6lb right to a snap swivel where I put the streamer.
I always used to tie the flies on but one of the good guys out there who gave me some tips said he uses snap swivels and doesn’t see a difference in his catch ratio. Actually I lost half my 60’ leader in the prop one day and just fished with the shortened leader and get lots of hits on that too.
