You’ve identified my kryptonite, then offered dragging help on top of it, well played. You probably have drawn a bead on my two favorite venues to imbibe, the Pub and camp. The offer is good, your choice on the venue.

Nice buck. Seems like every few years we go thru the same thing at some of our spots that get cut. Sure, the deer are still there, but it does change things if you were used to sitting a favorite tree etc. Also, depends if they moonscaped it, or just selective cut it.

Nice that your kid enjoyed the trip, he will remember it for life and share the tales with his children.

For me, they're one in the same....my "camp" in the burg IS the pub. Just don't shoot anything until Thanksgiving week, or I'll have to retract half the offer.

Looks like fun with your son! Bummer on the cutting......
"License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.

Not making any guarantees, but if I shoot one early I’ll be poking around over the border in Maine anyway.
