Progress got a bit slow this week. I made a couple of cutting boards my mom, and we went to NY for the long weekend to visit her, and to do some turkey hunting. I did get some of the boards poly'd though... No plans for a TV, this will be more of a shop than a den when finished.

So, I am going to update this thread a bit... I got started on refinishing the inside of my concrete block shed 2 years ago. At the time I decided the best course of action was to put up strapping on the walls and cover it with pine boards. Well, I got started off nicely in the spring of 2016, and then my wife decided she wanted me to renovate some stuff in the house, and then hunting season came, and the winter, and then a baby, and essentially the project got left abandoned for nearly 2 years. Well, yesterday I got started again full bore. It’s a little slow going because the shed is cluttered right now, and I have some other issues with the shed that I have to work around as I go. For example, the electrical conduit running along the wall, and a couple of windows I need to reframe. I’m a shitty carpenter, but I’m having fun. Looks like all the original photos got dumped by Photobucket, so I will repost a few.

As you might be able to see, I am using 2 different sized boards. Below the window is 10” shiplap. That was about the most cost effective board at the lumber yard. Above the shiplap is 6” tongue and groove. I stopped at a Home Depot that had a ton of the 6” boards on the scrap rack for pennies. I got almost $300 worth of boards for like $25. Since this is a shed, a little rustic mismatch is A-OK by me!

These Red Head anchors worked like a charm to anchor the strapping to the block...

Sorry for the sideways pictures, this forum sucks for posting pictures.

Are any of you guys stove savvy? What would I need to get to hook this wood stove in the outside chimney?
