No acorns at all in my spots so far, one in zone 11 and one in zone 10.
Let the chess game begin, they were browsing heavy saw one small doe in the morning that bedded 23 yards from my stand(SUCKED getting out of there) and 9 yesturday evening avoiding my edge of the oak stand heading to a remote field (that I do not have permission to hunt) including an absolute monster, shocked to see him in daylight - rack looked like a white picket fence
MarkHunting relaxed looking for a monster

Yup, they are pretty much non existent and my normal spot is heavy with white oaks, no deer this year in there. That said it's NH but still I am seeing the same in MA.

No acorns around my areas either. I have seen deer eating peoples shrubs already on ny 5:15am morning logs. No acorns is hard on the deer but I think it forces the deer to move more, a good thing for us.

Zero acorns in Northeast mass.
Deer are feeding in the fields and backyards.
Apples are being hit well too.

I hunted for the first time this morning. Lots of hickory nuts, not many acorns. The farmer said deer have been under his apple trees every night. I listened to one deer walk through before day break, probably 50 yards away.Fly and light tackle fishing with Captain Steve Burnett....
