when I used to bowhunt, I used 4 pins. 30, 40 50, 60 yds. Arrows don't change much with the new bows nowdays up to 30 yds. Shot alot of 50+ yd. deer. I gave up the sport and cocentrate only on geese these days. Would like to make it out west again sometime for another elk hunt though http://www.huntingchat.net/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_smile.gif

5 pins here. 20 out to 60yds. I don't shoot at deer that far away but use the two longer pins for stump shooting and the occasional partridge.

I use no pins, because I shoot instinctive and limit my shots to 20yds and under. I have shot all my bow deer at under 10yds. In my opinion the less junk on your bow the better off you are for deer hunting. The point of bowhunting is to get them close not see how far away you can hit them.

I have 4 pins on my sight, 20, 30 , 40 , and 50 yards. I limit myself to under 40 yards when hunting but our 3-D shoots have a max allowable distance of 55 yards hence the 50 yard pin. http://www.huntingchat.net/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_biggrin.gif

Since I only bowhunt out of a stand and never on the ground , I shoot a keller . So I guess you could say one pin .

I don't use pins. I use a scope since I use a crossbow.

I have three pins, 20, 30, 40. I'm probably going to take the 40 off though and just go with two pins. I agree with the keep it simple method!

4 pins. 20, 30, 40 and 50. Probably won't ever use the 50 but it's ready just in case

For hunting here in MA I just use 1 pin 0-30 yards. I never need to shoot farther than that. If I ever went on a big game bow hunt i'd have to add more.

Two pins on my setup. One for 15 yds and under and one for 20-25 yds. I won't shoot at anything over 30 yds away and the longest shot I've ever had to make on a deer was 18 yds.
