We were met yesterday mourning 2-19 at about 6am by a bone chilling temp of 5 degrees with a wind chill that made it feel like -25. Welcome to the Flexcon Presidents day fishing derby @ Quaboug Pond in Brookfield, Ma. Not a bad turn out for a Monday, a few dozen braved the cold to fish, eat, have a few beers, share in the good times, and take a shot at some prize money. Big money fish was a Northern Pike that went 33 inches, $100.00. Big Pickrel was 23.25 inches and I think paid out another $100.00. Second place Pickrel (taken by fishing friend the Frenchman) a very close 23 inches $60.00. I even won a $25.00 drawing http://www.huntingchat.net/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_biggrin.gif Late in the day I caught this 26 inch Pike.GH http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f2/HajieSticks/SSPX0001-1.jpg

I think we had more Flexcon guys on Webster Lake today - about 10 of us went out this morning.
Caught two bass about a pound each and two 20" pickerel...Best fish of the day was a 4lb bass.
The highlight of the day was Stubby, the one footed seagull. He had just a leg, no foot, on one side.
